Jenna has been riding horses her entire life. She was with a trainer all the way up until she was 24 years old, at which point she took a short break to start a family! She spent an extensive amount of time showing during those years in Pennsylvania at places like Devon and the farm show complex in Harrisburg. She showed mostly Hunter Jumper with OTTB’s that had been adopted and retrained at her grandmothers farm. It is from that experience that she gained a love for off the track thoroughbred’s. From there she continued adopting and retraining horses at the farm she leased in New Mexico. During that time, she decided to learn the western discipline and fell in love with barrels. She bought a quarter horse, and with the help of a trainer, trained him to be a pretty decent barrel racing companion all across north eastern New Mexico. So for the past 10 years, she has been going back-and-forth between show jumping and barrel racing; owning both an 0TTB mare and a quarter horse gelding. All the while continuing to retrain thoroughbreds to go on to be successful in multiple disciplines. For the past three years, she has been working with the MHF adopting Mustangs, gentling and training them, eventually adopting them out to qualified applicants. She has grown to truly love Mustangs for the strong minded yet gentle creatures that they are. So now she owns a Mustang of her own, along with her other two horses, whom she rides frequently and is continuing to train. Jenna has received many certifications along the way, including a Safe Rider certificate, Professional Riding Instructor and TIP certification...all geared towards riding instruction and horse training. She’s shown at many events, in many states across the country, and is proficient in the world of showing. She’s attended many rodeos and jackpots in NM, learning the diverse world they revolve in. Jenna also has 3 children...all boys. All willing and able participants on the farm, learning how to be cowboys. 😎🤠. She has the patience and understanding necessary to efficiently and successfully train a young rider, a beginner adult, and riders who have had accidents on horseback that have scared them away for awhile, now wanting to come back into the fold. She has worked with young horses with absolutely no training...”breaking” them and giving them the proper groundwork necessary to move forward with their owners. “Problem” Horses...who are really just once bitten twice shy animals that need a special touch...are her specialty; working with horses that no one else will bother with. Jenna will also finish your horse, in the discipline that suits the both of you. She is diverse, knowledgeable, strong, patient, kind, reliable, trustworthy and proficient...always striving to make the bond between horse and rider stronger.
